  • MARCH 09, 2015 Nice place to stay The location is off the beaten path, but that didn't really bother us. Just know that you might need to use a taxi here, especially after dark. Everything.

  • MAY 11, 2015 A Clean and Comfortable Neighborhood Guesthouse Food (breakfast) is (seemed to us) a little overpriced. And if you want to head out for breakfast, it's a bit of an early-morning hike -- about 10-15 minutes. (Note that a pot of good coffee, maybe four cups with milk, was reasonable at $1.50.) The village is reportedly safe, and seems well managed, tidy. But you have to get to the village. At night would recommend taxi back to place. Friendly and helpful management and staff, Clean (seemed like the entire staff works on keeping the place clean). Rooms are quiet with very solid walls. Nice courtyard. The place is setup to benefit the village, so also a good cause.

  • JANUARY 23, 2016 Comfort & Tranquility for Busy Travellors No bad, to the contrary, all good Casa Barcelona turned out to be surprisingly comfortable, peaceful and quiet. This assessment is based on the views of two seniors, who planned a one night stay and stayed three. Casa Barcelona easily tops its category, and for reasons summarized as Comfort & Tranquility. Warm welcome, generous assistance, helpful in every way. Bathroom javex-clean every day; towels and linen clean. Large windows, with screen, open into garden and fresh air. Rooms have safety deposit box, frig and variable speed overhead fan. AC is available with an outside modern AC unit. Lovely garden. Hotel a leisurely 15 min walk to the Plaza, via the main commercial street nearby. Garage station, banks, ATMs, shops, pharmacies, hair dressers, etc. Mums and Dads and children make the walk interesting and very safe - although safety is not an issue beyond the common sense rules of travel. Hotel is located in a residential area, high walls, 24/7 staff on duty. Away from night life.

  • NOVEMBER 11, 2015 Would choose again in a heartbeat! Shower pressure was weak. This was not a deal breaker for us. Everything else was wonderful. Friendly and secure place to stay. Outside the tourist area but close still in proximity. Only six blocks to the central park. Right next to the municipal mercado and the "reality" of Granada. Their gardens are great. Like being in a tidy jungle in the core of the city. Food was well priced. Not designed for partiers. If you're looking for a serene place to retire to this is it!

  • JANUARY 16, 2015 Look around Granada before booking We booked this hotel for fear of ending up in Granada without a place to stay. We found a lot of other places and found that this place was much much more for everything from shuttles, breakfast, and the rooms! Look around first. Don't be afraid to go and then find a room. This place is just too much money. Wifi Private bathrooms

  • APRIL 10, 2016 Location is a bit further out from the main square and felt the walk home at night would be a bit risky as down some rougher roads - take taxis at night. The owner tried to be as helpful as possible - we asked for aircon but it didn't work apparently because of the electrical aspects so she called them up and got them out to fix it but sadly still did not help therefore had a sweaty night's sleep.
